Clear speech / Presentation audio / Production coordination
Corporate events.
Conferences.
Corporate event production and conference audio in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Support the people delivering the program, the audience in the room, and any participants joining online.
01 / The scope
Make the program clear.
Keynotes, panel conversations, awards, and musical segments need different audio preparation. Begin with the run of show, the people speaking or performing, and the way the audience will take part.
MRD can provide live sound and engineering, wireless microphone coordination, and the agreed audio connections for presentations. Rehearsal needs, speaker positions, and interaction with the venue's systems are part of the advance.
- Presenters & panels
- Discuss microphones, speaker changes, rehearsal opportunities, and how questions will be handled.
- Program playback
- Identify presentation and playback sources, their connections, and who will operate them.
- Room & remote audiences
- Separate the in-room sound requirements from any broadcast audio or recording deliverables.
02 / The approach
An AV brief needs clear ownership.
A request for audiovisual production can include sound, displays, cameras, lighting, staging, streaming, and more. We start by defining the disciplines your event needs and the people responsible for delivering them.
Delivery responsibilities are agreed for each event. MRD handled video internally for the AME Zion conference featured below; other productions may involve specialist partners or venue teams. Audio, cameras, screens, lighting, staging, and streaming should each have a clearly defined scope and operator.
03 / The detail
Keep the plan useful to your team.
You do not need an engineer's vocabulary to start. Share the event purpose, location, approximate audience, program, and any providers already engaged. We can work from that to discuss scope, staffing, and the next decisions.
If online participation or recording is required, identify the intended audience and final deliverable early. The technical plan can then address the audio handoff and responsibilities rather than adding an unspecified feed at the end.
Conference production in practice
A conference.
Two presentations.
The AME Zion 195th Philadelphia Baltimore Conference brought business proceedings and worship into a shared ballroom setup. Independent video mixes served in-room and online audiences, with all video production delivered internally by MRD.

Before we talk
Practical questions.
We need conference AV. Is MRD the right starting point?
Tell us what the event requires. We can discuss the audio, presentation, video, and coordination requirements, then confirm what MRD will deliver and where venue support or specialist partners are appropriate.
Can you coordinate with our venue or event planner?
Yes. Share the venue contact, event schedule, and any existing production agreements so the audio and coordination requirements can be considered together.
Can the event be recorded or mixed for online participants?
Broadcast audio and recording can be discussed as separate requirements. Their staffing, connections, and delivery responsibilities are confirmed in the scope.

Tell us what you’re planning.
Share the date, location, and what the event needs to accomplish. You do not need a finished technical brief to begin.
